Nintendo shares fell on warnings that component shortages could affect production.

The coronavirus outbreak was at first a brake and then an accelerant for Nintendo, choking its supply chain before triggering a demand surge with global lockdowns driving people to seek entertainment and escape. The company’s hardware sales improved by 37% and its software sales also rose 37% to 231 million units over the past fiscal year. It increased its proportion of sales coming from digital downloads to 43% from the previous 34%.

The cost to ship a container might have stabilized at a new high--chip shortage continues

That bottleneck is compounded by the fact that major car-chip makers NXP, Infineon Technologies AG and Renesas Electronics Corp. account for just 40% of supply, with the remaining 60% split between tens of thousands of smaller designers. Those smaller players often lack the influence to get their chips manufactured at foundries when capacity is tight.

That's the result of this survey in Christiansburg, Virginia...

It's a small town of ~22,000 people and the site of the first service in the U.S. to deliver goods directly to residences on demand via drone, launched by drone-delivery company Wing in October 2019 (Wing is a subsidiary of Alphabet/Google)

The responses to the survey have been overwhelmingly positive, despite the 'noise' issues.
