Grab, the asian deliver app and gig business, has postponed its SPAC merger from Q3 to Q4 of this year as the company faces increased scrutiny from US financial regulators, regulators who seek to clamp down on poor SPAC auditing practices. Grab expects to have a market value of about $40B after the combination with Altimeter Growth corp.

While spread across the world, most have a turf advantage, with Apple being the most used in the US and Canada, Samsung being the unbeatable champion in South Korea and Huawei keeping 40% of the Chinese market for itself.

Even thought the EU can brag about its many traditional bike brands, a lot of the production has been outsourced, particularly in Asia. Last year, the EU imported almost 5 million bikes from outside the EU, amounting to a total value of €930 million. That's a 35% increase since 2019. The top three source of imports are Cambodia, China and Taiwan.

BNPL demand remains robust and continues to be elevated versus 2020 levels. Total app downloads in May were lower than earlier at the start of the year, but only slightly. While growth seems to have found a sort of steady state, total volume of monthly active users is robust.
