US to allow delivery drones at night

The Federal Aviation Administration said early this week that it would enable the start of what will be widespread drone deliveries. Drone manufacturers will need to begin manufacturing drones with remote IDs and new security measures allowed by the administration. The US has 1.7 million drones and 203,000 FAA certified remote pilots. source: Reuters

Nuro gets greenlight on permits

Robotics firm Nuro received the first permit to commercially deploy self driving cars in California. This allows Nuro to charge clients for its driverless delivery service. Cars are backed up by a human led remote control system. The car of choice is the hybrid vehicle Toyota Prius but Nuro plans on building a wheel-less and pedal less car which would allow for more space. Nuro last raise was $500 million. Source; Reuters
