Defense stocks fall while renewables rise as Biden is sworn into office.

In Europe, renewable-energy stocks like wind power firm Vestas Wind Systems A/S and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA outperformed in the Stoxx 600 Energy index, both rising more than 2%. Japanese rifle maker Howa Machinery Ltd. tumbled 7.8% and Australian defense shipbuilder Austal  Ltd., fell 2.7%. - Bloomberg
