Petco produced a best-in-breed Q1--more upside ahead?

Following 2018 disruption from online-only retailers, sales growth began to recover in 2019 and accelerated in 2020. Growth will decelerate in 2021, but remain at a strong pace. One of the consequences of the pandemic was a pet boom in the US. Consumers spending more time at home have been adopting pets at an elevated rate, and there's evidence this will continue going forward. Petco's figure showed below indicate more to come?

China's tech crackdown is mainly hurting firms listed outside the country. Firms on mainland China, characterized by an MSCI index of 490 firms has gain 9% in the past three months. China's tech sector is reeling from what began in part as a crackdown on anticompetitive behavior.
