Bitcoin sees rapid recovery #crypto #Bitcoin #stocks #markets #news

In a volatile session the leading crypto reverses course shooting back from ~45,600 to $48,600 currently. The sudden move may be attributed to the sudden reversal in risk-sentiment improving after strengthening stock markets, and bitcoin touching key support levels. The Relative Strength Indicator (RSI) currently stands close to ~44, well off the ground from its oversold level of ~30, touched on 10th of December.

Bitcoin momentum fades #Bitcoin #crypto #TechnicalAnalysis #trading

Bitcoin failed to hold key psychological level of $50,000, currently trading at $47,800. On a technical level the largest crypto is caught in a no man's land as buyers most likely prefer remaining on the sidelines until it either reaches key support levels or if it climbs back and holds solidly above $50k. The key question will be whether Bitcoin is too hot, and if adoption amongst institutional investors will continue, fade, or accelerate going into 2022.

Bitcoin caught off-guard in the risk-off trade with wild swings.

Bitcoin fell from ~USD67,800 on 12 November to now sitting at USD47,500 (drawdown of approx. 30%!) Investors sold risky assets across the board in a rush to raise cash. Bitcoin, this time around, did not play its role as a hedge. Extreme risk-aversion and lower prices triggered more selling. Technical analysis snapshot: According to Relative Strength Index (RSI, 14 days) Bitcoin/USD is slightly oversold, hitting an RSI level of 30. There is support with Bitcoin still above its 200-day moving average. A rebound would confirm resumption of upward channel.

Underscoring the opaqueness of eToro's decision, Bitstamp — a far larger exchange — just recently listed Cardano for trading, which made the move to limit trading "particularly confusing.
