SEC issues $11M fine in Crypto scam marketed by Steven Seagal

The SEC filed charges against three individuals involved with defunct crypto projects Start Options and Bitcoiin2Gen.
According to the SEC, the three fraudulently lured $11 million out of investors in an ICO.
Actor Steven Seagal was previously fined for marketing one of the projects without disclosing his earnings.

The cryptocurrency surged 16% to $38'627 on Friday, but it is now back to the 33 thousands. So far, the Bitcoin has shed $8'000 from its $42'000 all-time high, but remains up 250% in the past year.

Ripple (XRP) Posted Biggest Single-Day Gain in 3 Years in a Coordinated Buying Attack

XRP rocketed more than 50% followed by a crowd pump launched by #thexrpbully last Saturday on #Telegram (more than 200k members) . "Traditional Crypto-Pump groups are being copied and legitimized by WallStreetBets-style crowd-pumps, and are now turning their burning gaze from dogecoin to XRP". The cryptocurrency jumped 56% to $0.50944 to hit the highest level since Dec. 22, according to CoinDesk 20 data. That was the biggest single-day percentage gain since Dec. 21, 2017.
