Will there be a post-Brexit digital Pound Sterling?

A think-tank believes it could be a good idea. CityUnited Project said a digital pound could reinforce London as a financial center via a CBDC. China is already planning on using its CBDC for the 2020 Olympics in Beijing. For the British the CBDC would be used for tax purposes and spawn more efficient market supervision.

Almost 10% of US teens have already traded crypto

The 41st Piper Sandler survey found that 9% of US teens had already traded some cryptocurrency, 81% of which were male. This raises the question about the ease of access: should people so young people have access to risky assets such as crypto? Although all crypto exchanges require their users to be 18, it seems that many of these access were given by their parents. The study also gives us a strong insight on the future generation and its interest in trading and new technologies. Gen Z will be much more involved with investment than any generation before.

China is the first major economy to issue its own digital currency

The Chinese government recently begun to offer the first state-backed, blockchain-powered currency to its citizens. A sample of 750,00o recipients has been pulled at random to start experimenting. The change was easily absorbed as app-based payments are already very popular in the country. As you can see on the map, many countries are working towards developing a similar solution.
