Commodities bull run as prices rise in tandem

Commodities have seen a very good run in the past months, helped by the demand of China, which remains the world's biggest buyer of natural resources.  Soybean prices are up more than 50% and copper 40% over the past year. As you may have heard, oil also bounced back to hit the $60 mark on Monday. The rally is even broader. A basket of 27 commodities tracked by an asset manager at SummerHaven has show that they were all profitable in the 6 months to mid-January, that is including gains from futures contracts. Analysts have looked at the past 50 years, and have never seen such a scenario occur.
