Bonds of EasyJet Plc and U.K. property manager Hammerson Plc are among the best performers in Europe this year. Investment-grade companies in the two sectors have sold almost $22 billion of debt in euros and sterling, the fastest pace of year-to-date issuance since at least 2010.

Historic sell-off for long-term US bonds

The US 10-year yield started 2021 at around 0.9%, and is climbing toward 1.8%. We have rarely seen such a strong selling pressure for US government bonds, as those that mature in 10 years or longer have dropped more than 14% in price since the start of 2021 as of yesterday's close.
